The location was peaceful as for me, close to Hexham, pubs, a cafe, a shop, and a Dalek and a shop. It also was in the middle of the city...

I came here for 1 night and had an enjoyable stay. Everything was perfectly fine and rooms were cosy and reasonably spacious. Truly enjoyed central heating, an iron and ironing board, and coffee/tea makers in the room. The beds with electric blankets and down pillows were comfy. The location was perfect, in the middle of the city

Opening the bathroom door at night without making noise was a bit challenging, but it added a quirky charm to the experience. Bring earplugs if you're sensitive to noise from the wind at night.

Access to private garden, excellent woodlands, engaging cat presence
The bathroom doors are a cacophony at night!!! Cold mornings can ruin any comfort. You must venture out to use the toilet and shower, not ideal for privacy. Some improvements to directions would help !!!

We had a lovely time enjoying the delicious breakfast and chatting with our hostess about her fascinating travels. The garden was perfect for lounging and there was a charming area for relaxing indoors. The only small downside was the toilet and shower being outside the room, but it didn't dampen our stay at all! 😊
